We both live in the village and have been friends for nearly 20 years, finally realising our dream of owning and running a coffee shop when we opened in December 2018. Based in the 100 year old caretakers cottage which is attached to Claypole village hall, we spent over a year renovating the previously unused and unloved building. We then transformed it into a light and modern coffee shop whilst retaining many of the original historical features
Our food is freshly prepared and our cakes are all homemade. We try and use as much seasonal and local produce as possible, partnering with some of the best suppliers our region has to offer. We ensure our packaging is environmentally friendly and our coffee grounds are recycled in the village allotments. We are then lucky enough to be gifted with some of the homegrown produce for our recipes!
We offer both eating in [as soon as the rules allow again] and take away and we are very fortunate to share a beautiful garden with with Claypole Village Hall. There is plenty of outdoor seating plus a large car park, cycle racks, children’s play park and enough space for you to bring your own picnic blankets!
We provide catering platters, grazing boxes and afternoon teas for picnics, parties, business meetings or just for get-togethers [remember those?]. We also offer catering if you are hosting an event in Claypole village hall
